Audio Issues
If using headphones:
- Double-check your device’s audio settings: are you connected to your headphones?
- Try disconnecting your headphones, and reconnecting
- Make sure the correct microphone is selected (not just the speakers)
- If all else fails, disconnect your headphones and try using your device’s built-in audio
If you can’t hear the voter, or they can’t hear you:
- Check that your browser has permission to use your microphone. (Look for the mic icon in the address bar)
- Refresh the dialer page and reconnect
- Make sure no other apps are using your mic
Backup option (always works!):
This is the fastest fix if audio keeps cutting out!
Reconnect to the dialer and select “Call with this device + phone for audio”. (You’ll see this option on the Caller Link home screen)
What To Select When
- There was no human interaction at all, or immediate hangup with no speaking at all → Answering Machine or No Answer
- You never really reach a human → Answering machine or no answer.
- You believe this is the correct person, and they hang up AFTER they found out you’re with the campaign, or said they didn’t want to talk → Refused.
- A human answers and clearly does not want to speak with you → Refused.
General Tech Issues / Error Messages
Screenshot the error message and send to your Staff point of contact.
If your dialer is crashing, showing any general weirdness, or not working at all: click the “Report an issue” button in the top right corner!
