WHAT VOTERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT JAMES

Texas voters statewide and of all ages need to see and hear the following messages on all digital and streaming platforms, as well as terrestrial radio and streaming audio. Voters should see and hear directly from the candidates and from ordinary Texans. Only after voters have heard these messages on those platforms should linear broadcast and cable be considered.

OVERVIEW

Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in Texas. His corruption has cost taxpayers millions and made life less affordable and our children less safe. While he has used his public office to enrich himself and his donors, he left working Texans to drown under the high cost of living. We can’t afford Ken Paxton’s corruption.

1. We can’t afford Ken Paxton’s corruption

1. He voted for billions in special tax breaks for data centers and accepted nearly a half a million dollars in campaign cash from the industry. Now our electric and water bills are going up and data centers are exploding across Texas. And Paxton says: “If we don’t have data centers, we’re in trouble.”  And that “There’s plenty of open space in Texas…that we can put data centers”
2. He supports the corrupt war in Iran that has raised gas prices and sent diesel to an all-time high, making everything from groceries to cars more expensive.

2. Ken Paxton’s corruption led to an admitted pedophile being offered one day in jail:

1. Adam Hoffman sexually abused a child. Hoffman’s lawyer represented one of Paxton’s biggest donors. Paxton offered the well-connected pedophile one day in jail. A man who should have spent his life in prison–and Paxton offered him one day in jail and didn’t even require him to register as a sex offender. We don’t need any more pedophile protectors in Washington.

3. Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in Texas:

1. He was impeached by his own party for bribery while blocking overtime pay for Texas workers and gutting our health care.

2. He was indicted for fraud.
3. He was reported to the FBI by his own staff
4. His net worth soared to as much as $27M on a government salary, while the pay of most Texans has remained stagnant…
5. He owns 15 homes, while many Texans struggle to afford one
6. His corruption has cost taxpayers more than $12M in legal fees and settlements
   

On terrestrial radio and streaming audio, voters also need to hear that too many Texans feel like they’re drowning under the rising cost of groceries, gas, and healthcare. In the statehouse, James Talarico brought both parties together to pass 60 bipartisan bills and make life more affordable. He passed bills to cap the cost of insulin, cut taxes for small businesses, and gave the largest property tax cut in Texas history. In the Senate, he’ll fight to bring both parties together to lower our costs – taking on the data centers driving up utility bills and ending the wars raising gas prices.  

Non-MAGA Republicans and Independents need to hear on digital, streaming and radio that Ken Paxton is too corrupt, even for life-long Republicans and Trump voters. They should hear from ordinary Republican voters in testimonials, as well as current and former GOP elected officials, such as John Cornyn, Louie Gohmert, those who worked for Paxton, such as David Maxwell, and voted to impeach him about why he is uniquely corrupt and unfit for office in news clips and/or interviews.
